Anne Johnstone
Artist
Bio
Anne lives and works in Lexington, Massachusetts. She is inward, reflective, introverted, and quiet. On this website, her work is particularly ruminative. In July of 2019, she participated in a two-person show at the Aidron Duckworth Art Museum in Meriden NH with large abstract acrylic paintings and oil pastel drawings. When the pandemic descended, she began working in her home studio at a size much smaller than her abstract paintings. Some of the fruit of that work is displayed on this website. (See https://www.annejohnstone.net for large works.) Her B.A. is in Studio Art from the University of Massachusetts/Boston with additional work at Brown University. She studied locally with Bill Flynn, Abbie Zonies, and Timothy Harney. Her artwork is in collections in Bermuda and the United Kingdom as well as in the United States.
